Ministry in the marketplace is a subject that has gained much attention in recent years. While profit seems to be the mission of most companies, is it possible that business can be used as a platform for some other purpose? Without a doubt profit is vital for the success of a business, and we at Betenbough Homes certainly endeavor to be excellent in all we do. However, we’re convinced that while profitability is necessary, we don’t believe that it satisfies as a worthy purpose.
We believe that business is one of the greatest platforms in the world to connect with people. Business opens doors to build relationships with people in our community as well as around the world. At Betenbough Homes, we desire to be intentional with these opportunities. As we encounter others in the marketplace, we hope to be a blessing.
Of course, attempting to do this brings challenges that are often difficult to navigate. We have certainly made many mistakes, and continue to seek direction for the future. Our Leadership Team is convinced, though, that our purpose has been made clear, and we unashamedly stand on this as the reason Betenbough Homes is in existence today: To glorify God by being faithful stewards of all that is entrusted to us.
We have truly been blessed over the years. God has rained His blessings upon this company, and provided for our every need. It is our desire to not take that for granted, but to be forever grateful. Our heart is to take whatever gifts have been entrusted (time, talent, treasure, influence), and use them to be a blessing in our circle of influence. We seek to first do this locally in the communities in which we build, and then to reach out to bless the nations.
