- Insurance
Before closing can occur, proof of homeowner’s insurance must be obtained. Once you have selected an insurance group, please provide your insurance agent’s contact information to our Closing Team, 806.687.9803 or e-mail.
- Closing Costs
Closing costs are funds necessary to transfer ownership of the home to you. These amounts vary depending on lenders and selected loan types. Please contact your lender for a closing cost estimate. Please note: Closing costs exceeding $1,500 should be presented in the form of a cashier’s check. Although your closing will occur at the Betenbough Main Office, all checks should be made out to STEWART TITLE CO.
- Property Tax Information
The Lubbock Central Appraisal District (LCAD) assesses and collects taxes for most of the taxing districts in Lubbock County. Real estate deed restrictions are restrictions listed on the deed that place limitations on the use of the property. These restrictions are implemented in an effort to protect the aesthetic appearance of your community. They are inherited with the property and cannot be changed or removed by subsequent homeowners. You will receive a copy of your community’s deed restrictions at the time you sign your sales agreement and again on closing day.
