Coffee

Whether you like your coffee strong, sweet, or somewhere in between, Odessa has a café for you! CPL Ray's is a favorite of Permian residents and doubles as a space for active-duty military and veterans to share their stories and gain support.

Press Café is often visited by our Odessa teams for both their coffee classics and delectable entrees! For specialty coffees and seasonal flavors, our teams recommend Devoted Grind, DoughBoy's Cafe, and Chiaro Coffee Co. - Odessa's very own coffee trolley!

Restaurants 

Odessa is home to a wide variety of unique restaurants to satisfy nearly any craving! For authentic Mexican food, visit Limon Con Chile, Mamacita's Mexican Grill, Dos Compadres, and La Bodega Mexican Restaurant. If your heart is set on Asian cuisine, try Volcano, Pho House Odessa, and Osaka Japanese Steakhouse. Odessa also offers traditional Italian fare at Mi Piaci, and gourmet sliders and fries at Curb Side Bistro.

For an upscale dining experience, our teams recommend Barrell & Derrick and Flair Taverna. Other Odessa favorites include Cork & Pig Tavern, Barn Door Steakhouse, and Red Oak Kitchen. 

Shopping 

Are you in the mood for a shopping trip? Alongside large department stores like Dillard's, Odessa is also home to several unique, locally-owned boutiques! Visit Kirby's Kloset, Pink Llama Boutique, Simplee Posh, and Pink Mint Boutique for women's clothing and WOW Warehouse for home décor!

Entertainment / Recreation

Odessa offers a plethora of fun and exciting activities and attractions to visit. If you're feeling outdoorsy, play a round of golf at Odessa Country Club or Ratliff Ranch Golf Links, practice your aim at Odessa Area Outdoor Gun Range & Paintball, or make a splash at UTPB Sprayground or the aquatic center at Sherwood Park. For some real speed and exhilarating go-karting, visit Rimrock Raceway. Head inside for more fun at Altitude Trampoline Park, MCM Roller Rink, or Cinergy! 

Historical spots 

West Texas has a rich history, and Odessa is no exception. From Odessa Meteor Crater to the Barrow Ranch House, there is so much to learn in the Permian Basin!  

Visit the Comanche War Trail to learn about the path once traveled by Comanche warriors, tour the historic White-Pool House built in the late 1880s, and take in a show at Globe Theatre, Odessa's reconstruction of the famous Shakespearean theatre by the same name. 

Day Trips

Odessa offers plenty of fun and excitement for all, but if you're looking for a quick trip to discover new places, there are several great spots just hours away from the Permian Basin! Alpine is a common day trip location just over two hours from Odessa. Known for its scenic beauty and rich history, the city offers a variety of interactive tours, museums, and over 30 acres of parks with designated spaces for kids of all ages!

Carlsbad Caverns is another excellent day trip location just under three hours from Odessa. Situated in southeastern New Mexico, Carlsbad Caverns is home to the deepest limestone cave in the country, and the fifth-longest known cave in the world! 

Balmorhea State Park is a fun place to venture during the summer, just under two hours from Odessa. This historic park boasts the world’s largest spring-fed swimming pool! Other day trip locations include San Angelo, just over two hours from Odessa, and Lake Allen Henry, two and a half hours from Odessa.
