First-Time Home Buyers: What to know when buying a new home

1. Find a lender you can trust.
Your first step in the home buying process will be to get pre-approved by a home lender. Big steps in the process of buying a home, like determining your budget, are often much easier when you have a trusted lender you can turn to. 2. Do some dreaming and identify your non-negotiables
We all want a beautiful home. Do some dreaming about what you envision your home to look like. We encourage that! If you look at your ‘Dream Home’ Pinterest board, you might notice that it’s a ton of beautiful exterior photos or even photos of your ideal interior décor. We love beautiful things too! Maybe you want a floor plan with a large kitchen island. Is the master bedroom where you spend most of your time or do you like to hang out in the main living areas? 3. Consider home maintenance.
