Our New Home Construction Process

From deciding to build your home across from a community park to the ability to customize your new home's design, new construction homes offer so many benefits to home buyers! Seeing your new home take shape from the ground up is a memorable and fascinating time, and Betenbough Homes provides a simplified construction process so this time remains enjoyable and stress-free for your family!

Construction Deposit

After you've selected your community, homesite, floor plan, and design options, you're ready for your pre-construction meeting! At this time, your new home specialist will review all the details, including plans and costs, and walk you through what you can expect to encounter over the upcoming stages of your new home's construction.

At this meeting, you'll sign your new home agreement and provide a $1,000 construction deposit so we can lock in pricing on your new home! Then we can finally break ground on your brand-new home!

Foundation Pouring

From the moment your slab is poured, we can tell you when each remaining step of the new home construction process will happen with 99% accuracy! That means you can start planning your move-in day right away! It's not typical for the home building industry, but over the past three decades we’ve learned and adopted processes that allow us to streamline construction for the best possible experience. Our homes' foundations are formed with rebar, a metal grid that keeps the foundation from separating as they settle throughout the years. In addition, each home's foundation is stamped by a licensed engineer, ensuring the integrity and quality of your new home. Betenbough homeowners can take comfort in the fact that their home is structurally sound, energy-efficient, and built with a foundation of quality.

Advanced Framing

At this stage, your experience specialist will guide you through an official walkthrough of your home, where you'll gain insights into how our advanced framing system and engineered roof trusses ensure exceptional structural integrity, delivering the pinnacle of quality and innovation in construction.

Interior Construction

This phase of construction is more lengthy than the others, and you may want to visit several times to watch the transformation unfold. Our new home construction teams will be working diligently to install your carefully selected luxury design options.

Soon enough, the smell of fresh new paint and the sight of beautifully installed granite, cabinets, and backsplash will welcome you as you step foot into your new home. Each visit will look different as you get a little closer to closing on your brand-new home.

Exterior Construction

This is it! Your home has been carefully crafted by master brick masons, your driveway and sidewalk have been poured, and a beautiful cedar fence has been installed.

The new home construction process is nearing the end, but before your closing, our new home builders ensure inspections are passed, the details are just as you imagined, and we're ready for your welcome home celebration.

Quality: Our 1,000-Point Checklist

While the affordability of our homes is important, quality is our first priority. To ensure exceptional quality throughout the construction process, Betenbough Homes enforces a 1,000-point checklist. Our new home builders are diligent in walking through every home, at every stage of construction, to monitor the quality of work being done and correct errors if ever necessary. Our goal is that your investment in a Betenbough home will be one of the best decisions you've ever made, and that's why quality is top of mind for our construction teams!
